I made this card for my friend Heather's birthday. I love the look of the flowers in the jar. I fussy cut out 3 flowers and I think it looks really good in real life. The Panel 3 is using the current Hostess Designer Paper Pad. I am really liking the new patterns! I used the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder on the base layer and I think that just makes it pop.

SU Materials Used:
Stamps: All Wrapped Up, Sweet Birthday;
Paper: Pear Pizzazz DP, Old Olive, Whisper White, Rose Red,
Pretty in Pink, Window Sheets Medium,

Here is the Sketch:And here is my card:
I *LOVE* the way this card turned out.
As you may know, I am a big fan of Snowmen-especially if I am not the one
out in the cold making them. ;) I think the outlining helps the guys to pop!
I used the Petals-A-Plenty on Cherry Cobbler paper for the blue panel and some Certainly Celery DP I had in my stash for the red panel. I used the Wild Wasabi to border all the panels and I think it is just a subtle little something that brings it all together.

SU Materials Used:
Stamps: Holiday Lineup, Four the Holidays;
Paper: Wild Wasabi DP, Whisper White, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler;

SC 308- Magdalena's Birthday

Here is the sketch:Here is the card:
And the inside:
So Believe it or not, my sweet baby girl is 10 years old today!!!
I remember when my 'tiny' little girl was born. (Yes she did weight 9lbs 7oz and at least her brothers weighed less! - In her defence she was 9 days late and had they all been born on their due date Ethan would have been the biggest. ;) )

Ten years later, she is growing into a fine young person,
even though her favorite color is orange. ;-)
I am really proud of her and hope she continues to live up to her principles.

SU Materials Used:
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes;
Paper: Only Orange, Pacific Point, Whisper White;
Ink: Going Gray, Only Orange, Pacific Point;
Other: Color Spritzer Tool

As Always, Thanks for stopping by!

I am loving these and I think the little Lady who got this for her birthday might agree. :-)

Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight;

Here is the sketch:And here is my card:
So, my baby sister *finally* turned 29 last week. Since she is such a purple fanatic, I made her this card. I used the Concord Grape DP for layer 3. I love the new patterns on the designer paper block... and best of all it is a level 1 hostess gift!!! I used the Elegant Eggplant to frame the Concord Grape DP and Lovely Lilac Layer. I dusted off the Heartfelt Thanks flower and used the markers and used it on one layer of the flower. I used the Basic Brown for the outline layer.

SU Materials Used:
Stamps: Heartfelt Thanks
Paper: Lovely Lilac, Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, Concord Grape DP
Ink: Lovely Lilac, Always Artichoke, Basic Brown

Here is the sketch:And here is my card:
I think this is the least amount of stamping you can have on a card. ;)

I made this card for my Dads 70th Birthday Party. A gazillion years ago he was in the Marines, you know the saying, Once a Marine-Always a Marine. Well, that fits him.
He really liked the card, so I guess it was worth it. :-)

A big thanks to my Friend Jodi, for sending me the MC paper forever ago! I finally made my Dad something with it! :-)

Button Bear Birthdays

The Button Bear Birthday Party!
I made the 2 cards on the left for the two girls that car pool with Seth. Their birthdays are about a month a part, but there was no way I could make them different cards. ;) The card on the right I made for my Niece's 1st birthday.
This is the car pool version close up. Since the teddy and friends border was just a tad bit short, I cut out the portion under button bear and used it for the card below. I am frugal like that. ;)

This is Tory's card. I just couldn't resist putting
the sparkly 1st in the middle. :-)

Thanks for stopping by!

SU Materials Used:
Stamps: Button Bear, Swirls & Blossoms, Teddy & Friends
Paper: Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose,
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Basic Brown;

My Friend, Chris, was nice enough to give the kids & I a lift to Girl Scout Camp in August. As usual, I was a few weeks late in my Thanks, but this is the card she -eventually- got. The Marina Mist and Cherry Cobbler are quickly becoming favorites of mine.

SC292~ Jodi's Card

Here is the sketch:Here is the card front:
And here is the inside:

Well, in case you don't know me very well, I am *always* late. This card was no exception. Actually for a little while in August I was doing pretty good, but then I forgot to turn the page of my perpetual calendar and Jodi's birthday snuck up on me! Seriously, it just jumped right out and of course she got the facebook "Happy Birthday", but that is not the same as getting happy mail, so about 2 weeks after her birthday I actually got her card made. I hope you liked it Jodi! (And you can still pretend every card is for you. ;) )

SU Materials: Stamps: Sweet Stems;
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Rose Red DP, DP, Pretty in Pink DP, Whisper White;
Ink: Olid Olive, Pretty in Pink:

SC291

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:
My friend, Heather and I volunteered at Camp Tag-A-Long (Girl Scout Day camp) again this year. For the first time we were unit leaders- basically we got a group of 20 soon to be 2nd graders and went around to different centers. We were assigned 2 aides to help us out in our Unit. Since the theme was 'Where the Wild Things Are!' we were the Gray Elephant unit. I wanted to send a Thanks you note to one of our aides, Roadrunner, because she was a great aid! She helped us over the summer get ready for camp and she was super patient with the girls- and helped them out with their gimp. ;) I wanted to be sure and send her a Thank You card and as usual, I was late in getting it to her. Camp was the end of August and I didn't get this made until mid-September, but hopefully she will know how much we appreciated her help at camp.
SU Materials Used: Stamps: Zoo Fun Set, Thank You Kindly
Paper: Basic Gray, Basic Gray DP, Whisper White, Basic Black;
Ink: Basic Gray, Brillant Blue
