I really like the way this card turned out! I am sending it to my sister-in-law for her birthday. Doesn't it look cheery? I love the sponged Square Lattice layer behind the flowers. It doesn't look like much in the picture, but I think it adds a lot in real life. ;) What do you think?

I made this card for my nephew's 14th birthday. I am really getting old, how can he be 14 already?!? I cut out the monkey and popped him up on some dimensionals, I like the way the shadows hit the white space of the panel.

This cute little bear card went to a very sweet little girl from Seth's preschool class. I just can't get enough of that cute little bear with the paper pieced clothes. What do you think? Are you sick of her or should I keep making her?

Can I just say, i am really liking the way the truck shadow turned out. Usually i am not a fan of my shadows, but for some reason I am really liking this one. ;)

My Friend, Chris, was nice enough to give the kids & I a lift to Girl Scout Camp in August. As usual, I was a few weeks late in my Thanks, but this is the card she -eventually- got. The Marina Mist and Cherry Cobbler are quickly becoming favorites of mine.

What do you think? What is your favorite new ( or brought back) SU Color?

SC292~ Jodi's Card

Here is the sketch:Here is the card front:
And here is the inside:

Well, in case you don't know me very well, I am *always* late. This card was no exception. Actually for a little while in August I was doing pretty good, but then I forgot to turn the page of my perpetual calendar and Jodi's birthday snuck up on me! Seriously, it just jumped right out and of course she got the facebook "Happy Birthday", but that is not the same as getting happy mail, so about 2 weeks after her birthday I actually got her card made. I hope you liked it Jodi! (And you can still pretend every card is for you. ;) )

SU Materials: Stamps: Sweet Stems;
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Rose Red DP, DP, Pretty in Pink DP, Whisper White;

SC291

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:
My friend, Heather and I volunteered at Camp Tag-A-Long (Girl Scout Day camp) again this year. For the first time we were unit leaders- basically we got a group of 20 soon to be 2nd graders and went around to different centers. We were assigned 2 aides to help us out in our Unit. Since the theme was 'Where the Wild Things Are!' we were the Gray Elephant unit. I wanted to send a Thanks you note to one of our aides, Roadrunner, because she was a great aid! She helped us over the summer get ready for camp and she was super patient with the girls- and helped them out with their gimp. ;) I wanted to be sure and send her a Thank You card and as usual, I was late in getting it to her. Camp was the end of August and I didn't get this made until mid-September, but hopefully she will know how much we appreciated her help at camp.
SU Materials Used: Stamps: Zoo Fun Set, Thank You Kindly
Paper: Basic Gray, Basic Gray DP, Whisper White, Basic Black;
Ink: Basic Gray, Brillant Blue
