Swap Card #4

Without further adu, here is the last of my swap cards.
I think the leaping froggies are too cute!

And what little boy wouldn't like them?

To cut the paper I marked 5 1/2" on one side and 3" on the other side of the paper and cut on the diagonal. I then scored it 4" and 7 3/4" (starting at the 5 1/2" side) If this doesn't make sense just ask. ;) I stippled the back of the middle panel to add a little something when it is folded. I also swooped the edges of the card. I paper pieced the lily pad and used dimensionals on the lily pad.

Materials Used:
SU Stamps: Hoppy for You; SU Paper: Gable Green, Handsome Hunter, Whisper White, Certainly Celery DP, SU Ink: Basic Brown, Handsome Hunter; Other: SU Dimensionals

Swap Card #3

So first off, I got this awesome card Idea from my nemesis, I mean friend ;) Tonya. Her blog, where she has the tutorial, can be found here. The only alteration I made was to make it 5 1/2" instead of 6 and cut the horizontal lines at 1 1/4" from top and bottom. That way it still fits in a standard sized invitation envelope. :D

I apologize that the picture doesn't do this justice. The white panels on the ends are embossed with the Swiss dots cuttlebug folder. The Pixie Pink has flowers stamped with Pink Passion and the Tempting Turquoise panels have flowers stamped with Tempting Turquoise. On the Happy Birthday Panel, the flower centers have a pearl.
Materials Used: SU Stamps: Itty Bitty Buds; SU Paper: Tempting Turquoise ,Whisper White, Pixie Pink, Pink Passion textured paper; SU INK:Tempting Turquoise, Pink Passion, Green Galore; Other:Pearls, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder

Swap Card #2

The kids and I are off to Camp Tag-A-Long for the week. Since we are set to leave at 7:30am and get back late afternoon each day I figured I would share some already done cards. ;) A few weeks ago I posted the first of four cards I made for a Swap. I figured this week would be as good a time as any to share the other three cards.

This one was for little boys. I love this set, but must admit is hasn't seen ink in a long time before I made this card.

I used Garden Green and Night of Navy Markers to ink the Tractor and the Happy Birthday stamp. I added a pearl sticker to the tractor pipe. I used the yellow Gelly Roll Glitter pen to the candles. I punched out the Whisper White with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and the Scallop Circle Punch to cut out the Glorious Green and Basic Black. You can't tell from the photo, but the bottom 2/3rds are scored in 1/2" squares with the Score Pal.

Materials Used: SU Stamps: By Land, So Many Scallops; SU Paper: Glorious Green, Whisper White, Basic Black; SU Ink: Garden Green, Night of Navy; Other: Score-Pal, SU Scallop Punch, SU 1 3/8" Punch, Pearl Stickers

Sketch Challenge 218

This was the second card we made for my Stamp Camp last Saturday.

I am not sure, but I think this bear is growing on me. ;)

I used Versamark for the stars on the Not Quite Navy and watercolored the bear with a blender pen and the Close to Cocoa and Creamy Carmel Classic ink pads. I used the Big Dots Sizzix texture plate on the Whisper White card stock and another (can't remember the name) for the Creamy Carmel stripes.

Materials Used: SU Stamps: Under the Stars; SU Paper: Chocolate Chip, Creamy Carmel, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White; SU Ink: Versamark, Basic Brown, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Carmel; Other: Sizzix Texture plates.

Sketch Challenge 220

Since I had a Stamp Camp on Saturday Night and didn't plan it out ahead of time I turned to the files of not yet done Sketch Challenges for inspiration.

I think it turned out well. Unfortunately my sample card got mixed up and was taken home, so I thought I would show you what one of my stampers and Maggie came up with. They each made 2 cards of three designs
(I'll post the other two later this week.)

The top one was left instead of my sample and I am
very proud of the fact that Maggie made the bottom two cards.
I think for being 8 she does remarkably well!
(But then maybe I am a *tiny* bit biased. ;) )

Materials Used:
SU Stamps: Upsy Daisy; SU Paper: Apricot Appeal Card stock & Designer Series; SU Ink: Apricot Appeal; Other: Sponges
