SC217

Another sketch challenge crossed off my list, Yippee!

It is that time of year again when Thank You Cards seem to be in short supply, So I figured I'd make a couple of quick cards using sketch 217. They were quick and they are cute, but not what I had in mind.

My daughter, Maggie, and her 2 friends were stamping last Wednesday with Maggie's stash and this flower just caught my eye. It is perfect! I was planning on making some more along the lines of this and I would have too if she didn't have this stamp right in front of me. :D
I love the way these colors work together...maybe that's why I use them together so much.
If you look closely there is a layer of Ruby Red behind the flowers,
It shows up much better in real life.

For this one I flipped the sketch on its side and changed the cuttlebug folder,
but I like it just as much.

Materials Used:
SU Stamps: Garden Blocks, Much Appreciated; SU Paper: Garden Green, Ruby Red, Whisper White, Very Vanilla; SU Ink: Ruby Red; Other: Cuttlebug Embossing Folders, Dimensionals

Cindy's Blog Candy

My friend Cindy has some great Blog candy right now. You should be checking her out anyway, so stop on by here to see her great creations. :D

Spicy's influence revisited...

So awhile back I posted the beginning stages of my Home picture. I just wanted to let you know that I ended up with the Filigree. I hope you like how it turned out, I sure do!

I placed the Filigree directly onto the wall behind the frame.
The upper left hand corner is on the wall, but it doesn't show as well in the picture.

Thanks for stopping by.
I am still looking for the missing disk as apparently it had photo's on it.
This could be bad.

SC233

I *still* haven't found my camera card reader, but my smart friend Chris reminded me that there is a cable that came with the camera to upload pictures. Oops!

So let the posting fest begin.

I am still working my way through SCS Sketch Challenges (and have about 10 more to get to on my desktop still) so when it was year end I used SC233 for the bus driver card.

Awhile back my sister used Loads of Love as a School Bus. It was really cute, but since it has been a year (or three) I went looking in the scs gallery and found what I was looking for in this card. I am not sure if it was her inspiration, but it helped me remember how to do it, so Thanks!

Materials Used: SU Stamps: Loads of Love; SU Paper: Basic Gray, Bashful Blue, Real Red, Basic Black, Tempting, Turquoise, Summer Sun; SU Ink Basic Brown, Chocolate Chip ( I honestly don't remember which one, I think it was Chocolate chip. )

Thanks For looking and I am glad I *finally* got around to posting again. Sorry for the long wait!
