Choo-Choo

Since my family is *such* a train family I knew I needed this train set when the mini-catalog came out! I used it for a workshop an Saturday and this is the card we did:
Very simple, but I think it is cute. The Close to Cocoa is textured paper so it looks better in person.
This is the inside. I like the one with the train on the left best.

Materials Used: (all SU) Stamps: Choo-Choo;
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa-textured, Ruby Red, Very Vanilla;
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip; Accessories: Spiral Punch

Thumper

This Forest Friends Set just screams 'Bambi' to me! Anyone else getting the Bambi vibe?

I based it off sketch challenge #209. I am not feeling very chatty, probably because it has been so long since I tried to post something. Hopefully I will get myself back into the swing of this!

Paper: Robin Hood Red, Old Olive, Kiwi Kiss, Very Vanilla;

Waaaaay overdue Thanks!

Let me start by Saying:
Thank You Joyclynn!!!
So Spring break was about 2 weeks ago and the kids and I went to Chicago to see my family. Well, while I was gone I got a package in the mail. Unfortunately I didn't find out about it until about a week after I got home!
This is what was waiting for me:

Isn't she adorable?!?
Not to mention she came with this inside:

Once again Thank You Joyclynn for the great gift!

Just Beachy

Yippee! I got another sketch challenge completed. I was hoping to do one a week since that is how often they are released, but I seem to be a *little* behind!

Ok, so is this not the funniest summer set? I love the old woody and the fish (tone on tone on the pacific point) are so adorable!

The pail on sun on the right we stamped using Basic Brown and it show up so much more clearly than the Close to Cocoa I used on the left. I did the ink pad squish and used a blender pen to color the pail and sun. The card on the right has the Whisper White border on all four sides and I think it just makes it a touch better than the one on the right. What do you think?

Materials Used: (All SU) Stamps: Just Beachy;
Paper: Pacific Point, Whisper White, Sahara Sand;
Ink: Robin Hood Red, Basic Brown, Summer Sun, Pacific Point;
Techniques: Watercolored bucket & Sun

Just for you

Here is my cute little monkey for the day.
I stamped the flower from Polka Dot Punches in Pixie Pink on the card base. Then
I paper pieced the monkey with the designer series paper. The cupcake was cut out of Whisper White and I placed the pixie pink wrapper on it. I also used the word window punch on the sentiment and then just free cut the outer layer. You can't see it very well, but I paper pierced the Elegant Eggplant layer. I really like how it turned out, not my greatest, but it is fun.
Materials Used:
Stamps: Sock Monkey, Polka Dot Punches;
SU Paper: Pixie Pink, Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, DP-; Ink: Elegant Eggplant
Techniques: Paper Piecing, paper piercing

Everyone Else was doing it so...

I had to too! Awhile back a friend posted this link and I bookmarked it thinking 'someday'. Well, a bunch of friends made their versions and I just couldn't resist making my own.
I used Wilton Gel food coloring and used applesause instead of oil,
but I just couldn't bring myself to use pop.
Here is the mix, in hindsight I would have put more of the purple/white batter in the bottom of the pan. You know what they say about hindsight!

And here is the result:
It was might yummy, let me tell you!

I made this fun little card for a Sale-A-Bration Workshop. It is a fairly simple card, I just love the Polka Dot stamp set, it is so versitile! (The ribbon is awesome as well!) Unfortunately Sale-A-Bration is over for this year, but I am sure next year will have wonderful stuff as well!

Materials Used: SU Stamps: Polka Dot Punches;
SU Paper: Night of Navy, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Very Vanilla;
SU Ink: Rose Red, So Saffran;
Accessories: So Saffran Ribbon, Scallop Punches, 1 1/4" circle Punch
