Just Because..Sketch Challenge 238

Yep, I am back. Two posts in 2 days... amazing, I know.

So I am back to my sketch challenges. Here is the inspiration:

And here is my interpretation.

I really like this sketch.
It would work so well for a holiday card with cute little snowflakes in the squares.
(In fact, I think I will try that another day. ;) )

I used the Eyelet Plate (from SU Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1) on the Whisper White. You can't tell so much in the photo, but it adds such a nice touch. I stamped the square from the little shapes set (sadly, retired) in Blush Blossom.

I used my Stampin Write markers to ink up the flower in Really Rust and Garden Green. I love this flower from the Mini Mates set. (Sadly, also retired. :( ) I then layered the Whisper White with Garden Green and Really Rust.

Materials List:
Stamps: Mini Mates, Little Shapes
Paper: Whisper White,
Ink: Blush Blossom, Really Rust, Garden Green
Accessories: Sizzix-Eyelet

Sweet 16

My Niece turned 16 the beginning of the month,
so I had to do a 'Sweet 16' card for her!
I had the image of stamping something 'sweet' and then the number 16. After rummaging though my stamps I found this cute little Sundae in Maggie's stash that seemed just perfect for it.

I used embossing folders for the Pixie Pink layers and then matted them with Pink Passion. I used DS paper for the bottom layer and under the Sundae. I then stamped the 16 and 'sweet' with Pink Passion and edged the circles with my Classic Pink Passion ink pad. I popped up the Whisper White layer of the 16 and the Sundae and Sweet panels.

I am not sure how much a 16 yo would actually like it, but I liked it. ;)

Materials Used:
SU Stamps: Sweet Spot, Typeset Numbers; SU Paper: Whisper White, Pink Passion, Pixie Pink, DS Paper; SU Ink: Basic Gray, Pink Passion; Other: SU Dimensionals, embossing folders.
