Well, it has been too long since I have inked my stamps! They feel neglected, poor things. So today I got a *little* time to play and here is the result. I really like how the layout turned out! This is for a birthday party this afternoon and my first first attempt using stickles. Any helpful hints would be appreciated. It seemd to make the SU marker bleed. *See below for the closeup* The other problem is that on the cupcake top it seemed like the glitter only came out on the left side of the cupcake. I was wondering if I was too impatient and layed it on too think, any thoughts? I am counting on my scs friends to help me out here. See how the yellow is out of the lines? I am not *that* bad of a colorer!
Materials Used: SU Stamp Set: Birthday Best; SU Ink: Lovely Lilac, Pink Passion, Pixie Pink, Yo-yo Yellow; SU Paper: Pixie Pink, Lovely Lilac, Pink Pirouette; Other: Cuttlebug embossing folder Happy Birthday; Stickles & SU Dimensionals
This is the card my daughter made for the same birthday party. I love how she used the cuddlebug part as the present package and then she had me make the bow for her. I think it looks really cute. Not bad for a 7 year old. *wink*
I look forward to any helpful suggestions and nice comments you may leave. Have a Great Day!

Cute cards from both of you! I like how Maggie used the CB folder for a present. How clever.
As for the stickles, I use them over the top of my Copics, and never have had a problem with bleeding. My only suggestion would be to let your ink dry awhile before adding them. Maybe an hour or so (or try to heat set it first?).
As for the glitter, are you using Stickles Ice? I have a terrible time with that stuff. Regular stickles works much better for me. I usually get it started on scrap paper until it's glittering consistantly, then apply in small circles over the image.
HTH!
stickles make my SU markers bleed too...but I try and make it work for me. If I am doing something like the flame I will use an orange stickle and then just not use markers. But for the cupcake icing I will color the entire image and then use a thin coating of a clear stickles, I use both the regular and the ice. I let it make the marker bleed a little and then kind of mix in the color with the glitter, make sense??? But like Sarah mentioned if you use with an alcohol based marker, like a copic, it won't bleed. The SU ones are waterbased so that's why they bleed...no matter how long they sit.
Love both cards!!!! Maggie is one talented crafter, I love her CB present!!!!
WTG Sara and Maggie:)
