Another Birthday *wink*

December sure is a Birthday rich month for me.

Another one of my Mom Friends from SCS is celebrating her birth today. I *really* wanted to make a card that had nothing to do with the holidays and I think I have accomplished that. (And with any luck she will actually get this on her birthday and not a few days late!)

I started with the Rose Red Card Base and Cuttlebugged the Regal Rose panel. I knew I wanted to use a cupcake stamp and since I just discovered watercolor paper, I *had* to use that. ;) I used a blender pen and the Lovely Lilac ink pad to color the wrapper and candle part. I used a gelly roll pen for the flame and *gasp* actually had success with glitter glue for the first time! I kept adding the lilac layers because it didn't look balanced enough. I also added the flower stickers for the same reason.

Merry Christmas Eve!

Santa Baby...

Okay, How cute is he?

We went to our HOA's Breakfast with Santa on Saturday and the kids all decorated a Santa hat. They gave out a little coloring book and puppy after your visit with the man in red. Seth didn't want to get that close to Santa so we snuck him the puppy after Maggie & Ethan saw him.

I love this picture, he looks so sweet and innocent, if only he was. *wink*

Christmas Balls

When I was a kid we went to Crivitz, WI every August to visit my Great-Grandma's cousin, Aunt Edna. Without fail the grown-ups would start reminiscing and the story of the Christmas Balls would come up and they would laugh so hard, I can't remember what the actual story was, I think they just liked saying Christmas Balls. *wink*

Well, I decided to make some Christmas balls of my own, so here is my attempt. My friend, Zekesmom10 gave me the idea. Hers are much better than mine!

I used Riding Hood Red Designer paper, but made the mistake of getting iridescent ornaments.

I also got red & white vellum paper for Ethan to make them. The curl didn't hold, but I think his teachers liked them still.

Calendar

Last year I made Ethan's teachers a calendar with turtles on it because he was in the Turtle Class. Miss Christy seemed to really like hers. Well, it turns out Ethan was lucky enough to get Miss Christy again this year so I felt like she needed a new one. Can you guess what class he is in this year?

Since Miss Christy said she likes blue and Miss Sherry said she likes bright colors I had the perfect excuse to use my new favorite color, Pacific Point! I finally broke down and got some watercolor paper and now I have no idea why it took me so long. It makes such a big difference!

Happy Birthday!

Well, Today is my Friends Birthday and as usual, I am late to send the card. I thought I would post it here so she could at least see it on her birthday. *wink*

Now, since it is soo close to Christmas I wanted to make a Birthday Card that had no hint of Christmas. I think I pulled it off, what do you think?

Maggie's Birthday

Maggie's 8th Birthday was last Thursday and I thought I would share her card & coupon book.

I used a SCS Sketch Challenge for the layout. I *heart* it! I guess it is a good thing I procrastinated and made it on her Birthday or I would have had to use a different layout.

Materials Used: SU Paper:Lovely Lilac, Lavender Lace, Pink Passion, Very Vanilla; SU Ink: Pink Passion; SU Stamp Sets: Bitty Basics, Crazy for Cupcakes, Short & Sweet; Cuttlebug Folders: Happy Birthday, Swiss Dots

Here is the inside of her card. I like the cupcake from the Short & Sweet set. It fits nicely with the words from the Crazy for cupcakes set.

We gave her 16 coupons altogether. This is just a sample of what they look like. She has a lot of fun times to look forward to over the next year.

She really enjoyed the bean bag chair present.

I think she has slept on it at least 3 nights! Here she is testing it out.
