Cuttlebug Overload!

Since moving to Virginia, I have been missing Joann's. Thankfully a new Joann's opened about a mile from my house. They had a great grand opening and I was able to get way too many 50% off coupons as well as a few $5. gift cards.
So the question of the day:
What do you get when you cross a new Joann's store, a bunch of 50% off coupons and me?
Answer:
A card made with too many new cuttlebug dies!
Exhibit A:
My Moms birthday

Maybe I should stick with stamps & ink...I think the inside is much better.
What do you think?

Following in my footsteps

So Clay's work had a picnic a few weeks ago. I just wanted to share that I am not the only climber in the family.
Ethan did awesome and made it all the way to the top. I was so proud!
Maggie didn't make it, but at least she tried. She is not too fond of heights so I was glad to see her try.

Well, I am hoping that November will be a little less busy than October. I am still hoping to get a few back projects posted in the next few days.

Thanks for dropping in!

Anyone need a Smurf?

So, can you guess what happened?
Ethan & Maggie were supposed to be brushing their teeth.
I think Ethan has been watching the Smurfs too much lately!

Happy Fall

Here is my last offering for the World Card Making Day Challenges at SCS. This was for challenge #7. This challenge was no P's (Pattern Paper or Pastels). Just when I discoved Pattern Paper I am not allowed to use it. *sigh* I hope they are not too literal with the no p's because I did throw a pumpkin in there.
This was the first time I combined SU Markers with Prismacolor Pencils. Normal I would have watercolored with the pastels, but that was not allowed. I wanted the bird to be a black bird, but the marker would have killed it. I am very pleased with how it turned out. Hope you like it.
Here is the stuff you can't tell in the picture, but add a lot in real life: I went over the denim lines with the white gel pen and the pumpkin lines, scarecrow patches, pocket and the flower in the hat with a gelly Roll glitter pen.
Materials Used: SU Stamps: Happy Blessings, Canvas, Itty Bitty Backgrounds, SU Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Garden Green, Kraft; SU Ink: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, Summer Sun, Garden Green, Only Orange, Real Red, Brilliant Blue, Basic Black; Other: SU Pumpkin Pie 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, White Gel Pen, Gelly Roll Clear Star Glitter Pen, Black Prismacolor Pencil

I hope you enjoyed all the cards I made this week. I am hoping to publish on a more regular basis but life keeps getting in the way. *wink*

This is the next Challenge from SCS.

I fell in love with the Lovely as a Tree set all over again.

Here is my offering:
I LOVE the way the tree turned out. After using the markers on the card I decided to try my hand at some fall coloring on the tree. This is the third attempt. For the first 2 I used summer Sun and I didn't like the was it blended. To me this just screams fall. I hope you like it as well. It is hard to tell in the picture, but I used the bitty background stamp on the chocolate chip paper to the left of the really rust card stock. Why does it always look better in real life?

Below is the card inside. I really hate writing on dark paper. *Wink* I think it just it classes it up a lot to have an insise panel or image stamped.

Materials Used: SU Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Itty Bitty Backgrounds; SU Paper: Chocolate Chip, Designer Series Chocolate Chip, Really Rust; SU Ink: Chocalate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust; Other: SU 1/4" Pumpkin Pie Grossgrain Ribbon.
